What to Expect When Renting a Pool for Nude Swimming
Your people. Your time. Your swim.
Feel Good Swimming helps you easily find private pools whose hosts welcome nude swimming. You choose the pool, make the reservation through Swimply, and invite the people you want to bring. Your party might be one person, a couple, a family, or a group of friends. You are renting the pool for your own use.
This page explains what to check before booking and what your party is responsible for during the reservation.
Before You Book
A Feel Good Swimming profile introduces you to a pool and links to its Swimply listing. Feel Good Swimming does not control the pool's calendar, prices, reservations, payments, cancellations, refunds, or booking disputes.
Before paying:
- Read the Feel Good Swimming profile and the current Swimply listing.
- Confirm that nude swimming is welcome for your particular reservation. If anything is unclear, ask the host through Swimply before booking.
- Review the price, guest limit, cancellation terms, amenities, access instructions, and house rules.
- Check the information about visual privacy, cameras, restroom access, host presence, and other people who may be on the property.
- Tell everyone in your party what kind of swim you are planning so nobody is surprised.
- Keep reservation communications and payments on Swimply when its policies require it.
The host's current Swimply listing and messages govern property-specific details. Do not rely on an older screenshot or assume that every pool has the same rules.
What “Private” Means
Private pool rental usually means that your booking party has exclusive use of the reserved pool area during the stated time. It does not necessarily mean that the entire property is empty or completely hidden from every possible view.
The host may remain inside the home or elsewhere on the property. Household members, tenants, workers, or neighbors may be nearby if disclosed. Homes may sit close together, and sightlines can exist from windows, upper floors, streets, adjoining yards, paths, or other elevated areas. Pools suitable for nude swimming should not have most if any of these issues but don’t assume, confirm with the host for your level of privacy comfort.
Feel Good Swimming profiles are intended to describe the privacy a pool actually offers rather than treating the word “private” as a complete answer. Read the profile carefully and ask the host about any concern that matters to you.
No residential host can guarantee that an unexpected neighbor, delivery, aircraft, drone, or other outside circumstance will never occur. The host should disclose known conditions and take reasonable steps to protect the reserved area without promising impossible seclusion.
Cameras and Monitoring Devices
Swimply permits certain security cameras and monitoring devices but requires devices affecting reserved spaces to be disclosed before the reservation and clearly visible. Devices may not monitor spaces used for undressing, restrooms, or private showers.
The Feel Good Swimming profile should tell you whether cameras can view the pool, deck, entrance route, or another guest area. If a disclosure is vague, ask the host for the device's location and field of view before booking.
Disclosure lets you make an informed choice. It does not make an unsuitable camera arrangement acceptable to you, and you are free to choose another pool.
The Host May Be Home
A host who remains on the property may greet you, explain access, or help with an amenity or urgent problem. After that, the host should let your party enjoy the reserved space without hovering or unnecessarily entering the pool area.
This is your time and your swim. The host does not become part of your party simply by owning the pool.
If you would enjoy getting to know the host, you may invite them to join you. Everyone in your party should be comfortable with the invitation. The host should not request or pressure you for an invitation, and choosing privacy should never make you feel awkward or unwelcome.
Your Party Chooses What to Wear
A Feel Good Swimming profile means nude swimming is welcome. It does not require everyone in your private party to swim nude.
Your party may decide that everyone will swim nude, that some people will wear swimsuits while others do not, or that everyone will remain clothed. The choice belongs to the people renting the pool, within the host's rules, Swimply's policies, and applicable law.
Make the arrangement clear before the swim. Nobody should unexpectedly encounter nudity, and nobody should be pressured to undress. Necessary safety equipment, including a properly fitted life jacket, is always appropriate.
The Reservation Is for Swimming
Nude swimming is swimming. Removing a swimsuit does not turn an ordinary pool reservation into a sexual occasion.
Unfortunately, because nudity is so often assumed to be sexual, that distinction still needs to be stated clearly. Feel Good Swimming helps people find private pools for swimming, floating, relaxing, playing, and enjoying the water without a swimsuit. It does not promote pools as locations for sexual activity.
Swimply prohibits sexual activity at its rentals, including when a pool is booked privately by one person or a couple. Permission to swim nude does not change that policy or imply permission for any sexual use of the property.
The rule is straightforward: enjoy the water, respect the property, and let swimming be swimming.
Photographs Within Your Party
Because you choose who comes with you, your party can decide whether personal photographs are part of your swim. Make that decision together rather than assuming everyone is comfortable being photographed nude.
Ask before photographing or recording an identifiable person. Also ask before posting, sending, or reusing the image beyond the purpose originally discussed. Someone who agrees to a private snapshot has not automatically agreed to having it placed on social media.
Be especially careful with photographs involving minors. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for protecting their children's privacy and complying with applicable law. Hidden, voyeuristic, deceptive, or nonconsensual recording is never acceptable.
Water Safety
Unless the listing explicitly says otherwise, assume there is no lifeguard. Know the abilities of everyone in your party, follow the host's safety rules, and use suitable lifesaving or flotation equipment.
Swimply advises against roughhousing, breath-holding games, dunking, throwing swimmers, and approaching drains or jets. Know the property's address in case emergency services are needed.
Every minor must remain accompanied and supervised throughout the reservation by that minor's own parent or legal guardian. No drop-off attendance is permitted. Designate an undistracted adult to watch children in and around the pool and remain within arm's reach where appropriate.
Do not allow alcohol, medication, or another substance to compromise judgment, consent, supervision, or water safety. Follow the host's rules and applicable law.
Respect the Property and Reservation
Only bring the number of people included in the reservation. Do not add visitors, pets, vendors, equipment, or activities without the approvals required by the host and Swimply.
Stay within the guest areas, use amenities as permitted, observe parking and noise rules, dispose of waste properly, and leave the space reasonably as you found it. Your party should be packed, dressed, and departing by the scheduled end time.
If Something Goes Wrong
For immediate danger, injury, suspected crime, or another emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service first.
Use Swimply to contact the host about access, amenities, property conditions, or the reservation. Report violations involving a Swimply booking through Swimply's process. You may also contact Feel Good Swimming about inaccurate directory information or a participating host's failure to maintain FGS standards.
Feel Good Swimming is a referral directory. It does not operate or inspect the pool, supervise swimmers, provide a lifeguard, guarantee privacy or safety, or replace Swimply's support and reporting systems.
Private-Rental Agreement
By using Feel Good Swimming to find a pool and renting it for nude swimming, I agree that:
- I will read the current FGS profile, Swimply listing, and host rules before booking.
- I will confirm that nude swimming is welcome for my particular reservation.
- I will tell the people I invite what kind of swim I am planning.
- I understand that clothing choices within my private party are ours to make, subject to the host's rules, Swimply's policies, and applicable law.
- I understand that permission to swim nude is not permission for sexual activity.
- I will obtain permission before photographing or recording an identifiable person and before sharing an image beyond the use originally discussed.
- I will provide an accurate guest count and take responsibility for the conduct of the people I bring.
- I will ensure that every minor in my party is accompanied and supervised throughout by that minor's own parent or legal guardian.
- I will follow the host's property rules, Swimply's requirements, applicable law, and reasonable water-safety practices.
- I will respect the property, remain within approved areas and activities, and leave on time.
- I understand the limits of Feel Good Swimming's role as a referral directory.
Clear expectations make it easier to relax. Once the arrangements are understood, the rest can be wonderfully simple: your people, your pool time, and water without an unnecessary swimsuit in the way.
